You can't do what I do.

Hey Reader,

here comes a harsh truth most creators and entrepreneurs rarely talk about:

If you're new to..

  • writing on the internet
  • building your audience
  • or growing your online business, you can't rely on the strategies used by the top 1%.

Why?

Because those who already have large audiences and profitable businesses can use strategies that you can't use.

I talked about this extensively during a recent live conversation and wish more people would actually share the truth behind those unfair advantages that experienced writers, creators, and entrepreneurs have.

When I started to publish my work on Substack this summer, I started with zero followers.

But I didn't really start at zero because I had:

  • 💬 a large network of writers who were willing to support me by engaging with my content and answering my questions.
  • 📥 an email list with over 20k subscribers that I could ask to follow me.
  • 🎉 thousands of customers who quickly became our paid subscribers, which helped us become a bestselling publication within 60 days.

Yes, I started on a new platform, but everything I do builds up on what I've done over the last 7 years, such as:

  • growing my email list
  • publishing hundreds of pieces on Medium
  • building great products and having happy clients

I've built credibility, a reputation, and a large audience that trusts me.

So, no matter where I go or what I try, I'm not really starting from scratch ever again.

Here's what this means for you, Reader: If you're at the beginning of your journey as a writer, creator, or entrepreneur, you're at the hardest stage you'll ever be in.

You need to take the first scary steps, put your work out there, and be proud of it. Even if you're not 100% sure whether you're doing the right thing.

Once you get started and build consistency, it only becomes easier.

I'm about to invite you for a special experience where my team and I will take you by the hand and help you start writing on the internet within a week.

It's the perfect starting point if you've been thinking about writing for a long time but always find yourself procrastinating instead of taking action.

Please take a moment and let me know what stage you're currently in so I know whether this could be interesting for you.👇

And don't forget - you're only starting at zero once.

Big love from my screen to yours,
Sinem

Hey Reader, A lot is happening in the Write • Build • Scale house behind the scenes right now, but most importantly, I've been busy supporting the attendees of our brand-new Online Writing Challenge. Our first participants have already finished the Challenge, and the feedback we received so far has proven that the Challenge is the perfect stepping stone for new writers who've been struggling to take action: Writing online isn't hard. It can be easy if you focus on the right things, but most...

Hey Reader! Do you know James Clear? He wrote the bestseller Atomic Habits and runs a huge newsletter with millions of subscribers. I've been a fan of his work for years and love this Tweet: I had the same feelings when I started to write online in 2018. I thought I was too late. People were saying new writers couldn't build an audience anymore. And to be honest, some of these voices discouraged me. Whenever I felt stuck, I told myself it was because I was too late. I tried to comfort myself...
