How to get *rich* without getting lost

Hey Reader,

Welcome to another edition of the Write • Build • Scale newsletter, where I help you grow your audience and income without constantly churning out new content or anxiously hopping on every new trend and platform.

I recently signed up for a dozen newsletters because I'm looking for cool creators to collaborate with this year, and I was reminded of something: The internet is freaking l-o-u-d.

Everybody's screaming for attention, trying to gain views, subscribers, and clients.

And I get it - standing out isn't easy.

But here's what most people don't tell you: Standing out online is easier when you allow yourself to be you.

🗞 Read about how to stand out & grow your audience by being yourself.

Here are a few more resources to help you achieve your goals with ease and clarity instead of hustle. 👇

💸 Create your rich life

I recently came across a brilliant exercise that helps you find out what your rich life looks like.

Most money advice on the internet completely ignores differences in purchasing power, taxes, and much more.

When I say that I make six figures per year, you won't know that I live in Austria and pay close to $30,000 in social insurance each year.

You also don't know if I have $100 or $100,000 in yearly expenses.

Or how much I pay in taxes.

Long story short: Generic money goals aren't always useful.

I loved the following exercise to visualize what your rich life looks like. It's a great way to turn big numbers into tangible, realistic goals:

No matter if you aim to make $1k, $10k, or a million dollars on the internet this year, there are certain tools that can help you work smarter instead of harder.

Here are nine that help me stay focused during busy workdays:

Hey Reader, I'm on vacation right now, but as a ✨ responsible creator, ✨ I typed this email when I was at home, so all I had to do was plug in this stunning photo and press send: As we've already made it through almost half of European summer, I want to share an idea that I've been talking about for years: Summer is the perfect time to tap into content creation, grow your audience, and test new ideas. Most people are lazy and busy during summer. They have to take care of their kids, are on...

Hey Reader, I've worked with thousands of writers over the past five years, and even though every writer's journey is different, many of us face the same struggles. One of them is idea generation. Even experienced writers can sometimes feel stuck in a creative rut and experience writer's block. Click here for a new perspective on how to constantly come up with great content ideas. 🖍️ I'm in week #2 of publishing Notes on Substack, and my excitement is still high! After nearly a decade of...

Hey Reader, most of the emails I send you don't have a clear theme or topic, but today is different. This week, I want to encourage you to allow yourself to show up as your authentic self. When we start to publish our work online, we're usually afraid of being judged. And to minimize the risk of being judged, we pretend to be someone we're not. We put on a mask to be professional, smart, or cool. But you know? The easiest way to stand out and share your message with the world is by being you:...
